Push with Smiley and the Crew

(A rhyming comic-style story for young skaters)

Smiley was working at the local skate shop,
When two kids passed by and decided to stop.
A boy and a girl, both letting out sighs,
Their screens were all dark — no lights, no replies.

They sounded frustrated, dragging their feet,
The day felt so long, with nothing to beat.
“I’m so bored,” one said, “without my games—
There’s nothing to do, it’s always the same!”

Smiley looked up from the counter and grinned,
A spark in his eyes said, “Let’s begin!”
He called out, “Hey you! What’s all this gloom?
You say there’s nothing? Well, there’s plenty of room!”

The kids peeked in, a bit unsure,
“What do you mean? We’re just bored, for sure.”
Smiley laughed, “You’re in luck today—
I’ve got some friends who love to play!”

From the back rolled Roller, smooth and bright,
Her skates spun fast, her smile was light.
She said, “Outside’s where fun begins!
No passwords, screens, or login pins.”

Then came Bones, with colors galore,
He painted the air, and tagged the floor—
(Not really, of course! Just with chalk so neat!)
“Let’s make this park a work of street!”

Goo bounced in, all wobbly and wild,
“Adventure!” he cheered, like an overgrown child.
“Let’s slide, let’s spin, let’s see what’s near!
There’s magic out there—right here, right here!”

A beep and a whirr, Bot rolled in slow,
“Calculating,” he said, “the best spots to go.”
He beeped again, “My math is sound—
There’s a skatepark just three blocks down!”
